It depends on what you’re doing. For drinking every day? Regular water wins, hands down. It’s got minerals, it’s cheap, and it doesn’t make your coffee taste like a ghost.
For your CPAP machine, your humidifier, your iron, or your science experiment? Distilled water is the hero you didn’t know you needed. No buildup, no scale, no drama.
And if you’re making coffee? Please, for the love of caffeine, never use distilled water. It makes the coffee taste sad and hollow. You want a little mineral content to help extraction. Trust your barista on this one.
Bottom line: water is never just water. One is a party guest with a story; the other is a monk who lives in a cave. Choose wisely. And if you’re really lost? Just drink tap water and stop overthinking it. Your filter did fine.
Anyway, my coffee’s gone cold. That’s what I get for geeking out about water. Go hydrate—however you see fit. I’m off to refill my mug with normal water. No judgment if you go distilled. But maybe add a pinch of salt? Just saying.
