If you’re heading out, go early. The 9 AM crowd is usually very chill. It’s the 11 AM rush—after everyone’s had their first coffee and remembered the party supplies are all gone—that gets chaotic.
Also, don’t expect the deli counter or the bakery to be fully staffed. It’s a low-key operation. You might not get a custom-sliced ham, but you will find a pre-packed one. And that’s fine. That’s the spirit of New Year’s Day.
