If I had a dollar for every time someone overcooked broccoli, I’d own a yacht made of cheddar. The biggest sin is boiling it to death. You drop those florets into a pot of water, walk away to check your phone, and come back to broccoli that tastes like wet cardboard and smells like a gym sock.
Don’t do that. Your broccoli wants to live, not surrender. The goal is to coax out its best qualities, not punish it. You wouldn’t over-bake a cookie, so why would you drown your vegetables?
