First, know this: you cannot buy tickets. Repeat after me: “I will not fall for a fake ticket scam on Facebook.”
Strictly tickets are given away for free via a public ballot. Yes, free. It’s like winning the lottery, but with more sequins and less tax.
The official application window opens on the BBC’s website. You need to be quick, like a salsa dancer with a deadline.
Usually, the window opens in early summer for the autumn series. Set a calendar reminder. Put it on your fridge. Tattoo it on your arm (maybe not, but you get the idea).
When it opens, you’ll fill out a form. They’ll ask for your name, email, and maybe your favourite dance. I always put “the awkward shuffle,” but I suspect that’s why I’ve never won.
How to Actually Apply (Without Losing Your Mind)
Head to bbc.co.uk/strictlycomedancing during the application window. Look for the big, glittery button that says “Apply for Tickets.”
You’ll be asked to pick your preferred recording date. Be flexible! If you say “any Friday works,” your odds go up faster than a cowboy doing the jive.
You can apply for up to four tickets. Pick your squad wisely: someone who won’t scream in your ear during a tango, and someone who will save your seat during the bathroom break.
After you submit, you wait. And wait. And wait some more. It’s a bit like watching paint dry, but with more sequins in your imagination.
