Notice the order. Same as the Works Cited. And slap a page number after a space. No comma between them. It’s a tight, no-nonsense package.
If you name them in the sentence itself, skip the parentheses. Example: “Regina Phalange and Dr. Spaceman argue that running with scissors is underrated (42).” The parenthetical just holds the page number.
But what if they’re arguing against each other? Still use “and.” They’re joined at the academic hip for this citation. Tragic but true.
