Combat feels like a mix of Dark Souls and a pillow fight. You have to dodge, parry, and time your attacks, but you also have a “Taunt” button that makes your character do the floss dance. It’s so goofy that I’ve been killed by a boss because I was laughing too hard to move.
There’s a skill tree that’s basically a giant, branching spaghetti monster. You can make a firemage who also heals by singing lullabies. Or a warrior who buffs allies by giving them motivational speeches. I’m currently building a “Chef-Knight” who throws flaming frying pans. It works. Kinda.
The Endgame? Wait, there’s no endgame yet.
Here’s the catch: this is a beta, and the developers are very open about it. The level cap is only 30, and the main story stops at a cliffhanger. You’ll spend your time grinding dungeons and chasing “Mysterious Shiny Orbs” that may or may not be collectible cat toys.
But you know what? It’s fun. There’s no pressure to “git gud” because everyone knows the content is half-baked. The community is full of goofballs who host dance parties in the middle of boss fights. I joined a guild called “The Nap Enthusiasts.” Our motto: “We’ll defeat the dragon… after a quick snooze.”
