If you’re hiding your location with a VPN, Venmo gets confused. It thinks you’re in another country, and it panics. Turn off the VPN, restart the app, and try again. I feel your pain—it’s 2026 and we can’t even pay for tacos in private.
But hey, that’s the trade-off. You want privacy? Venmo wants your exact coordinates. Sorry, not sorry.
So next time you see that error, take a breath. Check your balance, your limits, and your spellling. Nine times out of ten, it’s a tiny fix. And if all else fails? Venmo’s support team is slow but mighty. Email them with a little patience and a lot of screenshots.
Now go send that money. Your friend is waiting, and that coffee isn’t going to pay for itself.
