Okay, this one is rarer, but if your water smells like a fish tank, that’s weird. It could be barium or cadmium from old plumbing. Or, and this is wild, it could be algae in the water source. Yep, algae can cause a fishy odor.
If you’re on a well, check your filter. If you’re on city water, call them and complain. They might be having a seasonal algae bloom in their reservoir. You paid taxes, you get to ask questions.
