Don’t worry, the Chiefs won’t become the “São Paulo Swifts” forever. This is just one game in a long season. They’ll still have eight home games at Arrowhead Stadium where the tailgate smells like burnt ends and the air is cold enough to freeze your mustache. Brazil is just a fun detour, like a pit stop at a weird roadside attraction during a road trip.
For the Eagles, it’s the same deal. They’ll fly back to Philadelphia and soon enough be freezing their helmets off in the winter. But for one night in September, they’ll be sweating it out in a tropical paradise. That’s the kind of story you tell your grandkids, right?
The bottom line
So, who do the Chiefs play in Brazil? They play the Eagles, and it’s going to be a blast. Mark your calendar for September 6, 2026. Tell your friends. Plan a little party. It’s not every day your team takes a trip to another hemisphere to remind everyone why football is the best sport on Earth.
And if nothing else, you’ll get to see Patrick Mahomes try to dance samba in the end zone. That alone is worth the price of admission—or the Peacock subscription. Here’s to football, feijoada, and a game that makes your Monday morning water cooler chat a whole lot more interesting.
