There’s a hilarious comedy-drama on Apple TV+ called Open House: The Great Sex Experiment. Yes, that’s its real name, and yes, it’s as delightfully awkward as it sounds. If you’re looking for that one, new episodes drop on Fridays.
But wait—there’s also a different reality show called Open House from the UK, and it’s all about people hunting for their dream homes. That one airs on BBC Two, typically on weekday afternoons, like a cozy afternoon snack for your TV soul.
Honestly, the name “Open House” is about as common as “Dave” at a construction site. So double-check your streaming app, kiddo.
The Apple TV+ Version: A Sexy, Slightly Bonkers Ride
For the Apple TV+ version, you need to know the release schedule inside and out. Season 2 premiered in early 2026, and every Friday, a fresh episode unlocks like a digital treasure chest of romantic chaos.
If you’ve missed the start, don’t panic! Apple TV+ releases all episodes in bulk if you’re late to the party. You can literally watch ten episodes in one sitting while eating a whole pizza. No judgment here—I’ve done it.
The show follows couples who try ethical non-monogamy, and it’s like Love Island had a brainy twin who reads self-help books. It’s sweet, cringey, and strangely uplifting.
BBC Two’s Open House: The Cozy Cousin
If you’re in the UK and craving something more chill, BBC Two’s Open House is your jam. It usually airs around 2:15 PM on weekdays, which is prime time for a cuppa and a biscuit.
This version is less “swapping partners” and more “swapping floor plans.” Think charming homes, eager buyers, and a narrator who sounds like your favorite aunt. It’s the TV equivalent of a warm hug after a long day.
You can also catch it on BBC iPlayer anytime, because 2026 is the era of “watch it when your soul needs it.” Set a reminder on your phone, or just wing it like I do.
