Sir David Jason reveals disagreement with Repair Shop's Jay Blades on
And here’s the kicker: he’s still involved with The Repair Shop family, just in a different way. He pops in to mentor new restorers or to voice narration. It’s like being the cool uncle who doesn’t live at home but still shows up for birthdays with the best presents. The Takeaway, Lovingly
So, what does Jay Blades do now? Everything, and he does it with the same gentle patience he used to fix a 200-year-old rocking horse. He’s out there reminding us that life is just one big restoration project. Your job is to find the cracks, fill them with love, and maybe some good wood glue.
And if you ever see a wobbly table at a party, do what Jay would do: fix it, laugh about it, and then have a cup of tea. That’s the real masterclass he’s still teaching us, one broken thing at a time. Now, go on—grab a tool and get fixing.
