Paleontologists have a veritable toolkit of awesomeness at their disposal, including rock saws, hammers, and chisels to carefully extract fossils from the earth. They also use fancy software to create 3D models of their finds and specialized cameras to capture every nook and cranny of a fossil. It's like being a paleo-photographer, but instead of taking selfies, they're taking pics of 100-million-year-old bones!
But it's not all fun and games, folks - paleontologists also have to deal with scorching deserts, tropical diseases, and serious butt-numbing when they're out on a dig. And let's not forget the bureaucratic red tape they have to navigate just to get permission to excavate a site - it's like trying to get a dino-sized loan from the bank! But hey, someone's gotta do it, and these guys are the real-life Indiana Joneses of the scientific world.

Fossil prep labs are where the magic happens, folks - it's like a high-tech workshop where paleontologists use acid baths and tiny brushes to carefully clean and prepare fossils for study. And when they're all done, they get to name their new discoveries - it's like being a paleo-parent, giving a brand new name to a brand new species! Just don't expect them to name it after you, unless you're willing to donate a few million bucks to the cause.
