Ever get that ad that looks like a system warning? It says “Your phone is infected!” with a big red button. Do not tap that button. That’s a scam. Close the tab, clear your cache, and maybe give your phone a stern talking-to.
Then there’s the “ad that follows you”—you search for dog food, and suddenly every app shows you kibble ads. That’s Google’s ad profile. Go to Settings > Google > Ads and toggle off “Ad personalization.” Poof—your phone forgets you love dogs, cats, and questionable pizza toppings.
