Okay, hypothetical: you ignored everything I just said. You roll up at 8:15 PM on a Wednesday. The lights are off. A single, dusty bag of rabbit food taunts you from behind the glass. What now?
First, don’t panic. Breathe. Then, pat yourself down for your phone. You can still order from their website for Click & Collect. Grab what you need, pick a time slot, and come back the next day. It’s like having a pet store butler.
Alternatively, there’s a Tesco superstore right around the corner. They might not have organic, free-range, gluten-free gerbil treats, but they’ve got the basics. Your pet won’t starve. Probably.
A Little Love for the Staff
Can we take a moment to appreciate the people who work there? They’re the ones who hold your hand when you panic-buy a £200 cage for a guinea pig. They know the difference between a chinchilla and a degu. They’re heroes in blue aprons.
So when you do roll in during their correct hours, be nice. Don’t bark at them—that’s your dog’s job. Just smile, grab your mealworms, and say thanks. It makes the pet world go round.
In short: Weekdays 9-8, Saturday 9-8, Sunday 10:30-4:30, bank holidays are sketchy, and always double-check. Now go get that chew toy. Your dog is staring at you. I can tell.
