Let’s start with the actual star of the show: the Trotter family home. That concrete tower block you saw on screen isn’t a set—it’s a real place called Harlech Tower in Acton, London. Yes, the council estate where Del Boy and Rodney spent 64 episodes arguing about Batman and Hybrid cars is a real block of flats. Unfortunately, you can’t knock on the door for a cup of tea; it’s still occupied by actual humans who probably have their own dodgy merchandise in the boot.
Fun fact: The exterior shots were all filmed there, but the flat itself was a studio set. So if you ever fancied dangling a lager can out of the window, you’d just be scaring a pensioner.
