Some people might say this is a sign of unresolved feelings. I say it’s a sign of great costume-party strategy. Think about it: if you dress like an ex, you’re guaranteed to be the topic of conversation. “Did you see Nina? She’s wearing Shaun’s helmet. Is that weird? Is it hot? I’m confused.”
Nina Dobrev Halloween Costume
And here’s a wild fact: Nina Dobrev loves elaborate costumes. In 2026, she dressed as a giant bag of chips for Halloween. So going from a snack to a snowboarder is actually a step up in sophistication. She’s not messing around—she’s got a five-year costume plan plotted somewhere on a napkin.
I think we can all learn something from Nina Dobrev’s Halloween. Life is short, relationships are weird, and sometimes the most terrifying thing you can be is honest about your past. Also, if you have a famous ex, don’t let their gear collect dust—use it for clout.
So next time you see a spouse, a partner, or a one-night stand you’d rather forget, just ask yourself: “What would Nina Dobrev do?” She’d probably borrow their snowboard, post a hilarious caption, and watch everyone decide whether to be offended or impressed. That’s the spirit of Halloween: making people laugh while you parade around in your ex’s athletic wear.
In the end, Nina Dobrev didn’t just reference her ex—she bronzed him like a trophy. And honestly? It’s the most entertaining Halloween move since somebody dressed as a COVID-19 vaccine vial. The Flying Tomato is officially retired from competition, but he’s alive and well in a celebrity ex-girlfriend’s Instagram feed. Happy Halloween, kids. May your ex-costumes be as legendary and petty as this one.
Surprising fact to end on: Shaun White has a dog named “Tommy” that he and Nina adopted together. The dog’s Halloween costume? A tiny snowboarder. The cycle of references is complete.
