Let’s be honest: shopping on Boxing Day is a bit of a national sport. It’s a mix of hope, adrenaline, and mild regret. You’ll see people walking out of Next with enormous bags, looking both triumphant and slightly haunted. “Did I need three pairs of jeans?” they whisper. “No,” the universe replies, “but they were half price.”
If you’ve ever been to a Boxing Day sale, you know the drill. You walk in, grab a basket, and immediately get distracted by the bathroom section. Suddenly, you’re debating owning a tartan toilet seat cover. It’s a strangely calming place. Then you remember you came for a coat, and you panic-buy a handbag instead. It happens to the best of us.
A Word on the 2026 Schedule
So, to answer your question bluntly: Yes, Next will be open on Boxing Day 2026. But don’t take my word as gospel for your specific corner shop. Pop into your local Next in early December and ask the staff. They always know. Or keep an eye on their website around December 20th—they usually post a “store opening times” page that glows like a beacon for bargain hunters.
And here’s a pro tip: If you go in-store, go early. By 11 a.m., the place looks like a jumble sale at a rock concert. Go at 8:15 a.m. instead. You’ll find the quiet chaos—a few dedicated shoppers, the smell of fresh hangars, and maybe a stray mince pie by the till.
