There’s always a catch, isn’t there? Ross Kemp is a busy man. He’s off doing documentaries about gangs and volcanoes and other dangerous stuff.
Does he want to come back to a fake London street where the biggest threat is a bad cappuccino? That’s the real question.
He’s said he’d only come back for a “killer story.” Fair play, mate. We don’t want a whimper; we want a bang.
But let’s be honest, a story where he reunites with his brothers and has a pint? That’s a killer story in my book. I’d watch that for an hour straight.
Our Verdict (And Please, Let It Be True)
So, is it happening? I’m putting my money on yes. The stars are aligning. The plot lines are crying out for him.
It feels like the perfect storm. A bit like a British summer, but with more shouting and less rain.
If it doesn’t happen, I’ll be genuinely gutted. I’ll have to rewatch his classic 90s episodes to get my fix. Again.
For now, keep your eyes peeled on the square. Any minute now, a black cab could pull up, a leather jacket could creak open, and Walford will never be the same again.
Fingers crossed, folks. We deserve this. Go on, Grant. Give us a wave.
