You can almost guarantee a few EastEnders or Coronation Street legends will be on the list. These are the people we’ve watched cry over a pint in the Rovers Return, but now they’ll be crying over a lack of custard creams. They bring that familiar, comforting drama we love. But the real gold comes from the curveballs.
Think about it: a grumpy chef from a cooking show, a TikTok star who’s never touched a bug, or an Olympic swimmer who’s terrified of water. The production team loves throwing these opposites together. It’s like throwing a mime and a heavy metal drummer into a tiny car and seeing who cracks first. And we, the audience, get to watch from the comfort of our sofas, sipping tea.
Who’s Actually on the Rumor List?
The whispers are already floating around online, and some names are popping up more than others. I’ve seen Coleen Rooney mentioned again, after her Wagatha Christie fame—imagine her trying to negotiate a fire-lighting challenge. Coleen, just use the flint! There’s also talk of a Love Island star, because, of course, there is. They bring a certain… sparkle, even if they’re useless at building a shelter.
I'm a Celebrity line-up in full as stars pose in uniforms and reveal
Then you’ve got the wilder bets. Some forums are saying a Hollywood actor who’s past their golden era might show up, hoping for a career reboot. It worked for some, remember? And there’s always a political figure who’s just retired and wants to be liked again. That’s always a funny one—watching someone who once argued about tax policy try to win a trial for a star in a bag.
Honestly, the 2026 line-up feels like it could be one of the strangest yet. And by strange, I mean perfect. It’s like making a cake with leftover ingredients from different parties; it might be a disaster, or it might be the best cake you’ve ever had. We’re all just here for that first bushtucker trial, right?
