Igneous Rock Forms When

Igneous Rock Forms Whenの概要と注目ポイントをわかりやすく整理しました。

Okay, here’s the fun part. Igneous rocks are the firstborn children of the rock cycle. Every other rock type (sedimentary and metamorphic) starts life as bits of igneous rock. It’s the original rock recipe.

There’s a rock called scoria. It looks like a sponge made of rust and anger. Miners sometimes call it "lava cinder." It’s so rough you could use it to file down your calluses. Don't try that, though. You'll bleed.

Let’s talk about basalt. It’s the most common rock on Earth’s surface (under the oceans). But here’s the kicker: it’s what covers the entire surface of the Moon and Mars. That gray, dusty ground? Lava rock. You’re basically walking on alien geology when you hike through a lava field in Hawaii.

And check this out: diamonds are technically igneous! They’re carbon crystals that formed under insane pressure and heat in magma pipes called kimberlites. That diamond ring on your finger? It was forged in a subterranean pizza oven 100 miles down. It’s a very fancy, very expensive piece of old magma.
