Another trick? Let a drop of water dry on a clean mirror. If it leaves a white ring, that’s calcium. High TDS. If it leaves nothing, you’re either amazing or you have a very clean mirror. Who’s to say?
When to Filter
If your TDS is over 300, you might want a filter. A basic pitcher filter can knock it down. But don’t go crazy—you want some minerals left. Water that’s too pure tastes… flat. Like kissing a robot. Zero personality.
