Sometimes Chrome rebels. If you’ve followed the steps but it still opens to a weird page, check for malware or pesky extensions that hijack your settings. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings and clear your cache.
Another sneaky culprit: you might have accidentally pinned a different page. Look at the tabs in Chrome—if one is pinned (looks smaller, no X to close), it might override your startup. Right-click it and “Unpin.”
True story: A friend once spent a week opening a default “Bing” homepage because they didn’t realize Chrome had synced their work account. Don’t be that person. Check your sync settings under “You and Google.”
