Find the Shortcuts app. It looks like a weird white maze on a blue background. If you deleted it (no judgment), go re-download it from the App Store. I’ll wait.
Open it up. Tap on the “Gallery” tab at the bottom. You’ll see a bunch of pre-made automations. Scroll down until you find something called “Photo Grid” or “Grid Collage.” Apple hides it in plain sight. Sneaky, right?
Tap “Get Shortcut.” Then tap “Add Shortcut.” Boom. You now have a magical collage button. It lives in your “Shortcuts” section on the home screen. You can also tap the three dots on it later to customize the grid size. Fancy.
Actually using the thing
Tap the “Photo Grid” shortcut you just added. It will ask you to pick photos. Select between 2 and 9 images. It’s like a digital buffet—don’t grab too many, or it gets messy.
Hit “Add” on the top right. Your iPhone will think for a second. Then—poof—a perfect little grid appears. It saves directly to your Photos app. You didn’t even have to lift a finger. Well, you lifted several fingers to tap the screen, but you get the idea.
If the grid looks too boring, tap the “Edit” option on the photo. You can add filters, crop out your ex’s face, or make it look like a vintage film still. Go wild.
