Yep, you just partially drain your pool and refill it with fresh, soft water. It’s like watering down that oversalted soup. Crazy effective, but it uses a lot of water (sorry, planet Earth).
Drain about a third of the pool. No more! You don’t want your liner floating away like a lost raft. Then refill, test again, and repeat if needed. It’s boring, but it works.
Watch out for the ground water table!
If you live near a swamp (or just have high groundwater), draining too much can pop your pool right out of the ground. That’s a bad day. A very bad day. Call a pro if you’re unsure.
