If you can’t be bothered with jars, grab some kitchen roll or newspaper. Soak up the oil with it, then toss the paper in your general waste bin. It’s not glamorous, but it works. For larger amounts, you can buy solidifying powder (or just freeze the oil).
Freezing is my lazy hack. Pour the oil into a yoghurt pot, stick it in the freezer overnight, and pop the solid block straight into the bin. It’s oddly satisfying. Just remember: don’t put it in the compost. Oil and worms do not mix.
