To wrap it all up in a neat little bow: Nick Berry is 61 years old. Born in 1963. Retired from acting. Living his best life. And still the most handsome man to ever wear a police uniform on British television (sorry, David Jason).
If you were hoping for a scandalous secret or a dramatic comeback story, I’m sorry to disappoint. He’s just a normal guy who got famous, got out, and got on with living. And that’s actually kind of beautiful.
So here’s to Nick Berry. May he continue to age like fine wine, may his lawn stay perfectly mowed, and may he never, ever feel the need to join Twitter. Because some legends are best left in the past—forever young in our hearts, and exactly 61 in real life.
