First things first, check your mail! If you've recently applied for benefits or made a change to your claim, you should have received a confirmation letter with your claim number on it. If not, don't worry, we've got more options. You can also try checking your online account or my Social Security portal.
When you log in to your online account, click on the claims or benefits tab, and you should see your claim number listed. It's usually a unique identifier made up of numbers and letters. Make sure to save it somewhere safe so you don't lose it again!
