So, the height for a car booster seat in the UK is 135 cm or 12 years old, but don’t let that number lull you into believing your kid is ready. I once measured my child against the fridge, and they were exactly 135.2 cm—we celebrated with a tiny parade. But the real victory is knowing you’re not breaking the law and your kid isn’t going to become a human airbag.
In the end, this whole booster seat saga is just another reminder that parenting is 10% love and 90% measuring things. So grab a tape measure, ignore the groans, and remember: your child’s height won’t change overnight, but your peace of mind will. Now, go forth and boost—or don’t, but only if you have that number on the wall.
