Let’s address the elephant in the coach station: the loo. Finchley Road’s facilities are… decent. Not fancy, not scary. They’re clean enough that you won’t hold it for the whole journey.
There’s usually a queue of one person, which is basically instant. And they have soap! Actual soap that smells vaguely of lemons. Luxury.
Just remember: coaches don’t always have amazing toilets, so use this one. You’ll thank me when you’re not wobbling down the aisle at 70 mph.
Getting Out of There (Without Drama)
When your coach arrives, the boarding process is smooth. Drivers call the destination, you show your ticket, and bam—you’re on your way. No wild sprints.
The coaches leave on time, too. National Express is famously punctual from here because the traffic is less insane than central London. You might even arrive early, which feels like winning the lottery.
If you miss a coach (it happens!), don’t panic. The staff at the ticket counter are actually human and will help you swap to the next one. Miracle workers.
