We live in a world of schedules and apps and “sorry, the next bus is in 45 minutes.” Renting from Enterprise at Edinburgh Waverley is a small rebellion against that. It’s a way to say, “I decide where I go and when I get there.” You can be a tourist for the day, a delivery hero for an afternoon, or a friend who saves the day with a van and a strong back.
Next time you’re standing on that platform, looking at the grey sky and wondering how to get to that cabin in the woods, remember: there’s a key waiting for you just around the corner. It’s a little key, but it opens up a whole lot of Scotland. Just don’t forget to fill up the tank before you return it—unless you want to hear that friendly lecture from the branch manager. Trust me on that one.
