To win with just one Powerball number, you need to match the Powerball number itself, which is the red ball. If you match this number, you'll win a prize of $4, which is not too shabby! And, if you match the Powerball number and one or more of the white ball numbers, you'll win even more, with prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million.
The odds of matching the Powerball number are 1 in 38.79, which is pretty decent if you ask me. And, if you match the Powerball number and one white ball number, the odds are 1 in 92.45, which is still pretty good. But, let's be real, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338, which is, well, not so good.
