Here’s a rule of thumb that will change your berry game: if you’re eating them today, leave them out. Seriously. A bowl of strawberries on the counter looks gorgeous and tastes far better. If you buy them at 10 AM and plan to devour them by dinner, just let them chill on the counter. They’re happy there, and so is your tastebuds.
But if you bought a giant haul (like you always do because they were on sale), you need a plan. The fridge can be your friend, but only if you treat it like a high-maintenance guest. And you need to become a strawberry surgeon first.
