Okay, so you’ve been bitten. Step one: stay calm (I know, easier said than done). Clean the bite with soap and water, apply an ice pack to reduce swelling, and pop a painkiller if needed. If you see red streaks spreading from the wound or feel dizzy/short of breath, see a doctor—but honestly, that’s for any spider bite, not just False Widows.
Side note: don’t try to catch the spider and bring it to the ER. Doctors won’t run DNA tests on a squished spider. Just wash the area and move on. Your dignity will thank you.
